Day Two of the Canadian Cross Country Ski Nationals and the US Super Tour Finals was a symphony of skiers as they competed in the middle distance classic races at Whistler Olympic Park today. The highlight of the day was seeing about 300 skiers simultaneously out on course. The races ran like clockwork thanks to the tremendous efforts of over one hundred volunteers. Skiers started at 15 second intervals and distances ranged from 5km for the

U16/U18 girls to 15km for open men. The rain held off but the waxing conditions were challenging for many athletes.

There was a festive feeling in the air as the competition settled into its second day. Many are just so grateful to be back out racing after two years without Nationals.

The dynamic Drolet siblings of Rossland made BC proud again. In the overall Open Men results, Remi Drolet was the top skier from BC placing 6th. And in the overall Open Women, Jasmine Drolet placed 12th.

Following are some other impressive BC podium placements from the Canadian Championship Results:

U16 Girls: 1 st  Meya Museau (Revelstoke)

U16 Boys: 1 st Eamon Wilson (Hollyburn), 3rd Raleigh Tarte (Kimberly)

U18 Boys: 1st Garrett Siever (Telemark), 3rd Quinn O’Shae (Hollyburn)
