Olivier Leveille has broken barriers, landing on Canada’s individual first cross country podium at the Junior World Championships in over a decade.

Leveille finished 3rd in the Junior Men’s 10km Skate, 27.3 seconds behind race winner Martin Kirkeberg Moerk of Norway.

After Remi’s Drolet’s near miss of the podium, finishing 4th in the 30km skate in 2020, no Canadian has stood on the individual podium since Alex Harvey in 2008.
